Linda

Linda is a computer science professor at Pennsylvania State University. Her main research interests include computer security, architecture, and computer education.

Her teaching specializations are in computer architecture, operating systems, database, and computer security. She has also taught programming language courses. She teaches both undergraduate as well as graduate courses and is also the Computer Science graduate program coordinator and the Associate Program Chair for Computer Science and Math.
In addition to teaching, she is also an author. Her best selling book is "The Essentials of Computer Organization and Architecture" (coauthored by Julia Lobur); this book won a Texty Award in 2007 and again in 2013 and 2015.
Linda has been riding horses since she was old enough to walk. She loves trail riding, and Pennsylvania has some beautiful horse trails and state parks. Linda also enjoys fly fishing, particularly for large blue gills and northern pike.

Tim is a computer science professor at Dickinson College. His main research interests are in specification language design and semantics (especially for object-oriented specification languages), and in the execution of formal specifications (especially the applications of constraint logic programming techniques in executing formal specifications). He has also done some work in linguistic content analysis and computer science education.
His teaching specializations are in software engineering and programming languages. He has also taught courses in database, compilers, constraint programming, object-oriented programming, Java, Visual Basic, C and UNIX, algorithms and simulation.
Tim is an avid fisherman, and living in Pennsylvania has allowed him access to some wonderful fly fishing streams, including the Yellow Breeches and the Letort. He ties his own flies and has even made some fly rods. When he's not fishing, Tim also enjoys trail riding on his mountain horse Shiloh.
