Linda
Linda is a computer science professor at Pennsylvania State University. Her
main research interests include computer security, architecture,
and computer education.
Her teaching specializations are in computer architecture, operating systems,
database, and computer security. She has also taught programming language
courses. She teaches both undergraduate as well as
graduate courses and is also the Computer Science graduate program coordinator and the Associate Program Chair for Computer Science and Math.
In addition to teaching, she is also an author. Her best selling book is
"The Essentials of Computer Organization and Architecture"
(coauthored by Julia Lobur); this book won a Texty Award in 2007 and again in 2013 and 2015.
Linda has been riding horses since she was old enough to walk. She loves
trail riding, and Pennsylvania has some beautiful horse trails and state
parks. Linda also enjoys fly fishing, particularly for large blue gills
and northern pike.
